Justin Owens

Justin Owens brings a wealth of experience to Lusby Law. Born in New York, raised in Michigan and Kentucky, he has also lived in Alaska, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Tennessee, and North Carolina. He brings a well-rounded approach to his legal analysis.



Justin attended Pensacola Christian College, earning a B.A. in prelaw in 1998. From there, he joined the United States Army in February 2000. During his 4 years active duty in the Army, he served in the JAG Corp assisting in criminal prosecutions as a paralegal. After the Army, he attended Widener School of Law (now Widener Law Commonwealth), graduating in May 2008.

He has worked for Rite Aid Headquarters HR, Staff Attorney for the Association of Baptist for World Evangelism, and most recently for Wilson Christian Academy as an attorney and full-time Faculty member. He brings experience in Criminal Law, Probate and Estate, Corporate law, and Employment Law. He is licensed in Pennsylvania (2008) and North Carolina (2022). He and his wife, Susan, have four children. His hobbies include enjoying days at the beach, swimming at the pool, reading, bowling, and playing games. He is active member of his local church, Tabernacle Baptist Church. Justin is an Associate Attorney at Lusby Law P.A. serving the counties of Edgecombe, Nash and Wilson.
